Cameron Young is another with the game to prevent a Scheffler hat-trick in Phoenix. Young has been strong in Scottsdale over the last 2 seasons, finishing inside the top 12 in 2024 and 2025. There was a lot to like about Young’s form in his return from a 6-week break at Torrey Pines, where he fired a final-round 68 to share 22nd place. Following his long overdue breakthrough at the Wyndham Championship last August, there should be more to come from Young this year.

Jordan Spieth is unlikely to ever be the force that he was in his younger years, but the multi-time major winner has six top-10 finishes to his name at Scottsdale, 4 of which have come in the last 5 years. He will be encouraged by a top-30 finish at the Sony Open in his seasonal debut a couple of weeks ago, and is worth a shot at this price.
