There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Friday, including at Aqueduct race track. We are up 178.45 units dating back to Aug. 5 after nailing an 8/1 longshot on Thursday. Let’s maintain the momentum!

Here are four runners whom we expected to have a leg up on the rest of the competition. It’s time to dive in and discuss these potentially profitable plays.

2:43 pm Aqueduct (Race 7) – Big Bobby 3/1

Race 7 at Aqueduct is a $74,000 Allowance Optional Claimer over six furlongs on the dirt surface and William Mott’s Big Bobby can take this one. This gelding has been very good so far, having yet to finish out of the first two from five starts, with his latest Allowance win at Belmont Park being an impressive one over a trip slightly longer than this and he should go very well again.

3:14 pm Aqueduct (Race 8) – Crea’s Bklyn Law 4/1

Crea’s Bklyn Law is a vastly experienced gelding who has won twice around here and should welcome this drop back to Claiming level at a course he likes so it would not surprise should he hit the board in this $39,000 Claiming contest, Race 8. His win two starts back at Belmont Park was a very good one and there looks to be plenty of speed on his inside here which is perfect as he likes to come from off the pace so this race could quite easily pan out perfectly for him.

3:43 pm Aqueduct (Race 9) – Mo Ready 6/1

The penultimate race at Aqueduct is an open looking $50,000 Claiming event over a mile and a sixteenth on the turf in which a case can be made for many but it may prove best to side with Mo Ready who is trained by a master in Todd Pletcher and has a good draw in stall four. On his best form he finished third behind the likes of Gufo and No Word in the Grade 1 Belmont Derby which was only last season so we could quite easily see an impressive winner on his first start in Claiming company.

4:13 pm Aqueduct (Race 10) – Caumsett 8/1

A very competitive $72,000 Allowance for the females is the tenth and final race on Aqueduct’s Friday card and I like the look of the horse in stall five, Caumsett, who finally got her head in front at the tenth time of asking on her latest start and that can give her the confidence to back it up here. That win came at this track over a trip of a mile which is two furlongs more than this but she showed very good speed to get to the front that day and if she can do the same then they all have to go some to catch her in the straight.
