There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Friday, including at Belmont Park race track. Here are four runners whom we think look to be a class above the opposition in their respective races. Let’s dive in and take a look at some potentially lucrative plays.

1:00 pm Belmont Park (Race 1) – Lokoya Road +100

Built on a string of promising efforts when tracking the early pace prior to registering a one-and-three-quarter-length victory in a maiden claiming event over a mile on the main track at Aqueduct at the end of November. Given a break following that effort the selection should appreciate the ease in grade here following an eighth place finish in a claimer over a mile-and-one-sixteenth on turf here at the end of last month. Can deliver a victory second up.

3:02 pm Belmont Park (Race 5) – Kikkerland +300

The selection had demonstrated good form in four starts prior to a below par first effort at this track when finishing down the field seventh in a six furlong maiden claiming race last month. Prior to that the Maclean’s Music gelding had been racing at Aqueduct, ending his time at that track with a three-and-a-quarter-length second in April. Irad Ortiz should be able to track the pace on the three-year-old and the gelding is taken to break his maiden.

4:08 pm Belmont Park (Race 7) – Laura’s Bellamy +180

The selection represents a top stable in that of Todd Pletcher and got off the mark at the first time of asking when winning a maiden special weight over six furlongs on debut at Aqueduct at the end of February. Made all on that occasion but was unable to dominate when finishing fourth in a minor stakes race at the same venue subsequently. Better effort when runner-up having tried to make all here subsequently and can register a second victory.

4:40 pm Belmont Park (Race 8) – Scuttlebuzz +350

Has demonstrated good form in his most recent runs winning twice and placing once from three starts since finishing eighth in a maiden special weight at this track in October last year. The most recent of those efforts came when finishing runner-up in an allowance event here last month. Came home half-a-length behind the winner on that occasion and is taken to go one better having completed a double when winning a claiming event over six furlongs at Aqueduct prior.
