There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Saturday, including at Belmont Park race track. Here are five runners whom we think look to be a class above the opposition in their respective races. Let’s dive in and take a look at some potentially lucrative plays.

1:00 pm Belmont Park (Race 1) – Predetermined +250

Made the perfect start to her racing career when delivering an impressive five length victory in a maiden claiming race over six furlongs on the main track at Keeneland in April. Got the better of five more experienced rivals on that occasion. Subsequent works haven’t been overly positive but she’s well drawn on the rail here and with top jockey Luis Saez again in the saddle she looks capable of maintaining her unbeaten record by completing a double.

1:31 pm Belmont Park (Race 2) – Southern Flag +160

Showed plenty of ability when finishing runner-up in a mile maiden special weight at this track when debuting just over four weeks ago. Had to give best to a more experienced rival in Royal Realm that day and the form looks solid enough with the fourth home that day Fingal registering a maiden claiming success at this venue subsequently. He looks capable of breaking his maiden at the second time of asking following a 49.95 four furlong breeze here on Monday.

3:02 pm Belmont Park (Race 5) – Control Group +160

Has plenty of experience having delivered 16 victories in a 48 race career to date. Demonstrated that he is as good as ever this year when winning the More To Tell Stakes at Aqueduct at the end of March. Good efforts in defeat twice since most recently when beaten into second behind an impressive winner in the three runner Kingston Stakes over a mile-and-one-sixteenth here. Looks capable of providing trainer Wayne Potts with a victory switched to an allowance optional claimer.

4:06 pm Belmont Park (Race 7) – Entreat +300

Broke her maiden at the first attempt when scoring by half-a-length in a six furlong maiden special weight at Churchill Downs in September last. Year. Raced prominently in that contest and the filly, a daughter of Group 2 Dahlia Stakes winning mare Bragging is taken to complete a double stepping up to seven furlongs on her allowance debut having delivered a couple of solid five furlong breezes on the main track at Saratoga in recent weeks.

5:12 pm Belmont Park (Race 9) – Yodel E. A. Who +250

Victorious at this level already this year when delivering a three length victory in a six furlong contest at Gulfstream Park in early February. Has registered a couple of good efforts in defeat subsequently including when third in a similar event here on his penultimate outing. The return to this level can see him get back to winning ways following a tenth in the Grade 3 Maryland Sprint Match Series Stakes on the undercard of last month’s Preakness Stakes.
