There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Sunday, including at Belmont Park and Woodbine race tracks. Here are 4 runners whom we think look to be a class above the opposition in their respective races. It’s time to dive in and take a look at some potentially lucrative plays.

4:44 pm Belmont Park (Race 8) – Brattle House 2/1

Costing $775,000 as a yearling, this daughter of Malibu Moon has a fair reputation and has already gone some way to justifying it. A debut winner at Aqueduct last November, she bounced back from a narrow defeat on return in the Maddie May by running away with an allowance contest last time. That was an impressive performance and further improvement should be forthcoming. She has the best draw of the principles and if she’s able to settle prominently under Junior Alvarado, she won’t be for catching as they kick off the turn.

5:16 pm Belmont (Race 9) – Plum Ali 7/2

A Grade 2 winner as a juvenile, she’s been unable to add to her tally in four starts this year. She’s run to a good standard in the main, reaching the show in both the Appalachian and the Wonder Again before a strong fifth in the Belmont Oaks. She has excuses for a subsequent defeat in the Saratoga Oaks and she has the rail draw for this run. Her best form makes her the one to beat and back at the mile, she can return to winning ways for Christophe Clement.

5:06 pm Woodbine (Race 8) – Wild Beauty 5/2

It could be double delight for Appleby and Dettori, with this daughter of Frankel flying in with big claims from Britain. She’s won two of her five career starts, finishing second in a pair of pattern races on her two most recent outings. Last time, she finished second in the Group 3 Sweet Solera and that form entitles her to a huge amount of respect. A prominent racer, she has a good draw and she looks set to relish a step up to the mile in this Grade 1 contest.

5:39 pm Woodbine (Race 9) – Albahr 7/5

Charlie Appleby and Frankie Dettori teamed up to win the Canadian International yesterday and this son of Dubawi looks set to give them another success. He’s won all three of his starts since debut, latterly winning the Listed Stonehenge at Salisbury back in August. That’s some smart British form and he remains totally unexposed for a yard who enjoys plenty of success with their runners in North America. He’ll get a strong pace to aim at, which he needs, and there’s a huge amount to like about his chances.
