There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Friday, including at Belmont Park race track. Here are four runners whom we think look to be a class above the opposition in their respective races. Let’s dive in and take a look at some potentially lucrative plays.

3:34 pm Belmont Park (Race 6) – Dreams Of Tomorrow +180

Race 6 at Belmont Park is a competitive $94,000 Allowance Optional Claiming over a mile on the turf and Dreams Of Tomorrow, who won well over course and distance last time out, can follow that up with another victory here. This son of Speightstown has been improving of late and, after finishing third in an Allowance at Aqueduct and a Listed contest at Pimlico, he won an Allowance race here by an impressive four and a quarter lengths. With a similar showing he will prove tough to beat.

4:08 pm Belmont Park (Race 7) – Three Jokers +400

Three Jokers won on his first start for four months last time out and he can come on from that run and go well once more in Race 7 at Belmont Park. This four-year-old won on debut at Saratoga back in 2019 before contesting three Black Type events at this course and, although he didn’t win any of those, he certainly acquitted himself well with a second place finish being his best effort. Runs in Allowance company at Saratoga and Aqueduct followed and he managed to win on his latest run by a cosy length and a quarter and he should go well again.

4:40 pm Belmont Park (Race 8) – Sun Summers +500

The penultimate race at Belmont Park is another $94,000 Allowance Optional Claiming event which features a hotly contested field but this one can go to the horse drawn in stall two, Sun Summers, who knows how to win races having won four so far in her career. Form figures at this track read 21 so she certainly knows her way around the twists and turns of Belmont which can only add to her chances but the main reason I like her here is the fact she is drawn in stall two as she can stalk the pace from there.

5:12 pm Belmont Park (Race 9) – Zerenia +500

A $45,000 Claiming contest over a mile on the turf ends the card at Belmont Park and I like the look of Zerenia who has won at this course and has a good draw in stall three. This daughter of Tiznow toughed it out to win a Maiden Claimer here on her penultimate start by three quarters of a length and, although it wasn’t the best race in the world, it shows she can win a race so that aids her cause in this. She finished fourth in this grade last time out here at Belmont but that was over six furlongs and she was gaining all the way to the line so the step up in trip can see her in a much better light this time around.
