There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Monday, including at Parx race track. Here are four runners whom we think look to be a class above the opposition in their respective races. Let’s dive in and take a look at some potentially lucrative plays.

1:23 pm Parx (Race 2) – Florencia 2/1

A regular at this venue the daughter of Bullet Train caught the eye when finishing runner-up in a claiming event over this track and trip back in May. Finished a nose behind the winner that day and while she proved a slight disappointment when fourth in this lower grade here last month it was her first run back from a break and she is expected to have improve for that effort. Looks capable of registering a fourth career success.

2:47 pm Parx (Race 2) – Thorny Tale 5/2

Sets the standard here having won three of his last five starts including by an impressive five lengths over seven furlongs-and-twenty-four-yards here on his penultimate start. Went down by a nose upped in trip to a mile-and-one-sixteenth subsequently but is proven in this grade and is versatile distance wise. Represents the powerful Jamie Ness (104/312 at this meet) barn and he can record a fourth victory of the year having delivered a good 47.32 four furlong breeze here last week.

3:43 pm Parx (Race ) – My Cousin Rich 9/5

Demonstrated plenty of ability in two of his three starts to date most recently when five-and-a-quarter-lengths third in a maiden special weight over six-furlongs-and-forty-yards at Monmouth Park in June. Tracked the pace on that occasion with today’s jockey Ruben Silvera taking the ride for the first time on that occasion and with this step up in distance looking likely to suit can make a winning return to this circuit having placed second when debuting here back in May.
