Registered a solid neck second when contesting a six furlong maiden special weight at Belmont Park back in June. Beaten by a more experienced rival that day the Candy Ride colt made no mistake hwhen delivering a three-and-a-quarter-length victory over six-and-one-half-furlongs at the same venue the following month. Convincing winner that day and looks capable of completing a double having shown improved form in the mornings when clocking a 48.32 four furlong breeze at this circuit last week.
3:55 pm Saratoga (Race 6) – Write This Down 5/2
Demonstrated ability when placing third in a maiden special weight at Aqueduct in May and while she disappointed when only sixth at Belmont Park subsequently she showed signs that a maiden win isn’t far away when third in a seven furlong turf maiden claimer at the same circuit in June. Caught the eye finishing third having raced from off the pace that day and looks up to getting off the mark at the fourth time of asking.
5:39 pm Saratoga (Race 9) – Goin’ Good 3/1
Completed a double when taking the minor Coronation Cup Stakes, a four runner event over five-and-one-half-furlongs on turf at this track last month by half-a-length. Raced close to the pace to complete a double on that occasion having previously scored in allowance company. Looks likely to track the pace once more and having delivered a fourth win in seven starts when winning last time he is taken to make it win number five here with Tyler Gaffalione taking the ride.
