There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Sunday, including at Saratoga race track. We have hit 36 winners in our last 78 races, profiting 61.5 units during this hot stretch. Let’s keep it rolling! Here are 3 runners whom we think look to be a class above the opposition in their respective races. It’s time to dive in and take a look at some potentially lucrative plays.

1:01 pm Saratoga (Race 1) – Moonachie 4/5

Demonstrated good allowance form earlier this year winning at both Aqueduct and Finger Lakes. Most recent of those two successes came by a neck when racing just off the pace over four-and-one-half-furlongs on the main track at Finger Lakes in early May. Has placed over five-and-one-half-furlongs there subsequently and can take this dropping down markedly in grade with Irad Ortiz booked to ride following a sixth in an allowance optional claimer at this track just over a month ago.

2:49 pm Saratoga (Race 4) – Bronx Bomber 8/5

The Rudy Rodriguez-trained gelding catches the eye here having delivered a solid second-place finish when beaten one-and-a-half-lengths in an allowance optional claimer over six furlongs at this track last month. Had previously placed in three consecutive starts in allowance optional claiming races and with Irad Ortiz on board for the son of Take Charge Indy’s two most recent starts in the saddle he can register a fifth career success following a solid 49.21 four-furlong breeze eight days ago.

5:05 pm Saratoga (Race 8) – Beau Liam 4/5

Steve Asmussen’s charge looks capable of maintaining his unbeaten record having won both his previous starts. The first of those came in a Churchill Downs maiden special weight event at the end of May, a race in which he drew seven-and-a-half-lengths clear of his rivals over six furlongs. He completed his double with a battling nose victory when making all over seven furlongs at this track last month. The slight drop in trip is a positive and he can complete a hat-trick.
