There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Saturday, including at Gulfstream Park race track. We are still in fine form with our picks; we have hit 52 winners in our last 118 races, profiting 77.7 units during this stretch. Let’s keep it rolling! Here are 5 runners whom we think look to be a class above the opposition in their respective races. It’s time to dive in and take a look at some potentially lucrative plays.

1:28 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 3) – Chess Not Checkers 3/1

Has shown ability in all three starts to date placing second at this venue on each occasion. The most recent of those came when racing in fifth early having been drawn widest of all in a ten horse maiden claimer over six furlongs here at the end of last month. Challenged four wide that day and a repeat of that effort should see her prove hard to beat with her jockey that day Miguel Vasquez again in the saddle.

1:59 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 4) – Bronx 7/5

Caught the eye when racing close to the pace from a wide draw prior to dead-heating for second place in a six furlong maiden claimer at this venue last month on debut. Main rivals that day had the benefit of experience and having delivered a good 47.35 four furlong breeze at the Palm Meadows Training Center recently the son of Brethren is taken to get off the mark at the second time of asking for trainer Gilberto Zerpa.

2:34 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 5) – Summering 9/5

Lightly-raced for one her age she delivered a first stakes success since her juvenile days when winning over a mile-and-one-sixteenth in the Pleasant Acres Stallions Distaff Turf Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs the end of March. Sole subsequent start came when fourth in a minor stakes race over the same trip here in June but she has been showing up well in the mornings of late and can deliver a victory here with Emisael Jaramillo booked for the ride.

4:48 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 9) – Spuntacular 6/5

Placed in a couple of maiden special weight races here including when third over six furlongs just over five weeks ago. Had previously debuted with a good four-and-three-quarter-length second to a more experienced rival over half-a-furlong shorter here. Raced close to the speed having drawn the rail in his most recent start and having drawn the rail once more he looks capable of breaking his maiden following a solid 48.10 four furlong breeze here earlier this month.

5:56 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 11) – Sound Machine 5/2

Has proven she is up to handling graded stakes company with a couple of solid placed efforts this year including when third in the seven furlong Princess Rooney Invitational Stakes, a Grade 2 here at the start of July. Given a break since then she gets a drop to state-bred stakes racing here and can register a fourth career success having taken a similar race here for handler Saffie Josph Jr over six-and-one-half-furlongs at the end of May.
