Milwaukee Brewers ML over New York Yankees (+105)

The Brewers are money line underdogs once again against the Yankees. A first-place team getting plus-money odds against a last-place team is not typically something to pass up. Milwaukee was the underdog on both Friday and Saturday in this series and won by scores of 8-2 and 9-2 respectively, so getting plus-money once again has tons of appeal. The Brewers do not have a safe lead in the NL Central and have played with urgency this weekend to keep pace. Today should not be any different.

Sure, Gerrit Cole starting for the Yankees is the key reason for them being the money line favorite in this game. But the Brewers will be starting Corbin Burnes, who is also a certified ace in this league and neutralizes any advantage the Yankees would otherwise have by starting Cole. Milwaukee is the better team in better form and has showed no signs of slowing down in this series.

Baltimore Orioles -1.5 over Boston Red Sox (+145)

The odds for this game are also a little bit fishy. The Orioles have the best win percentage in the AL and have a great chance to finish the season that way. The Red Sox are comfortably in 4th place in the AL East and are 6.5 games out of the wild card. Yet, Boston was the money line favorite on Saturday. Even though Baltimore was the favorite on Friday and is again today, the line is closer than it maybe should be.

Great teams do not always have much betting value, but the Orioles are a great team with a ton of value today. They won big on Friday by a score of 11-2 and had another huge offensive night on Saturday. The Orioles have been fantastic since mid-August and have shown no signs of complacency. They do not have a comfortable lead in the AL East and continue to rack up wins. Look for them to run up the score again to cap off this series.

Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 over Kansas City Royals (+110)

For the third time in this 3-game series, there is no need to overthink this one. The Blue Jays are a good team in the thick of a playoff race and the Royals are a nearly historically bad team. Results in this series have reflected as much and there is no indication that today will be any different. Toronto won narrowly on Friday by a score of 5-4, but the 5-1 win on Saturday looked a little more as we expected.

Starting for the Royals will be reliever-turned-starter Cole Ragans, who has been fantastic this season and of late. Unfortunately, that just does not look to be enough. Toronto will start Jose Berrios who has plenty of upside. Kansas City presents a great opportunity for a slump-buster for any pitcher, let alone one with solid stuff. Berrios and the Blue Jays look poised to collect their 8th win in 10 games.
