San Francisco Giants -2.5 over Pittsburgh Pirates (+196)

The San Francisco Giants and Pittsburgh Pirates begin their series in the Steel City today and it’s hard not to like the chances of a comfortable win for San Fran. The Giants just swept the Rockies at home and will have their ace Logan Webb on the mound for this one. Webb had a couple of rough starts recently but seemed to exorcize those demons in his last start against the vicious Dodgers, where he allowed just 3 hits against that talented offense. He should be able to keep the Pirates quiet.

Toeing the rubber for Pittsburgh will be Martin Perez, who has given up at least 8 hits in each of his last 3 starts and last time gave up 9 runs to the Brewers. The Pirates have the worst slugging percentage in the league against right-handed pitching, so expect San Francisco to stack their righties in tonight’s lineup. All signs point to the Giants comfortably outscoring the pirates, so let’s start this MLB parlay by taking San Francisco to win by at least 3 runs on the alternate run line.

Philadelphia Phillies -2.5 over Texas Rangers (+190)

The Rangers head to Citizens Bank Park to take on the Phillies and Texas could be in for a rough arrival. Philadelphia currently holds the best record in MLB and boasts a 14-3 record in May, while the Rangers have won just 2 of their last 9 games. What really gives the Phillies appeal for a comfortable win is that Ranger Suarez will be on the hill, who has been unstoppable this season. Suarez has given up just 9 earned runs across his 9 starts this season for a 1.37 ERA. Meanwhile, Jon Gray gets the start for Texas who has been solid this year but could come unstuck against this vicious Phillies offense. Philadelphia has excelled against righties this season and has won by at least 2 runs in 8 of Suarez’s 9 starts this season. Let’s go with the Phillies to win by at least 3 runs as the next leg of our MLB parlay.

Seattle Mariners ML over New York Yankees (+136)

The Mariners earned a big 5-4 victory over the Yankees last night and they look a good pick for our MLB parlay to secure another win here. The Yankees saw a 7-game winning streak ended by that loss yesterday and now have the same number of defeats as the Orioles in the AL East. Getting the start for the Mariners is Bryan Woo, who has allowed just 1 run across his 2 starts this season and should be capable of frustrating this New York offense. Seattle made a slow start to the season but has really started to build some momentum, currently sitting atop the AL West, and is more than capable of pulling the upset once again. Let’s round off our MLB parlay picks by taking the Mariners to defeat the Yankees.
