A new week in Major League Baseball gets underway with a modest 8-game schedule on Monday. It includes Padres vs Phillies, Yankees vs Blue Jays and Giants vs Diamondbacks. The YRFI/NRFI market is extremely popular in baseball betting. After all, you don’t have to sit around for 3 hours to see if your wager hits; the satisfaction (or in some cases disappointment) is immediate. It all comes down to the first inning. I have been in fine form so far this season, with a 44-32-2 record on best bets while going 4-for-8 on Same Game Parlays at +481, +632, +439 and +600 odds and 6-2 on YRFI/NRFI plays. Here are my MLB YRFI/NRFI best bets for Monday, June 30, while you can also get our MLB picks for EVERY GAME after our experts went 63-30 for +46.6 units last week!

Plagued by injuries in recent seasons, 40-year-old Max Scherzer will be making just his 3rd appearance for Toronto on Monday. Through 2 starts, he has compiled a 5.63 ERA and 1.50 WHIP while striking out only 5 batters and walking 3 in 8.0 innings of work. Yankees slugger Aaron Judge is a decent 4-for-14 lifetime against Scherzer with a home run and a double. New York is countering with Carlos Rodon. If necessary, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. could take care of the YRFI all by himself in the bottom of the first inning. Guerrero is a sparkling 8-for-12 lifetime against Rodon with 1 home run and 2 doubles. The southpaw has surrendered 12 runs (11 earned) in his last 4 starts.

Count on the bats being much quieter when the Giants and Diamondbacks square off in Arizona. This is a stellar pitching matchup between Logan Webb of the G-Men and Ryne Nelson of the Snakes. Webb comes in with a 2.52 ERA and a 120-to-23 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 107.1 innings; Nelson is sporting a 3.71 ERA and 1.05 WHIP, and he has allowed a mere 2 earned runs across 15.2 innings in his last 3 outings.
Jung Hoo Lee is the only guy who has done much of anything throughout his career against Nelson, but he won’t factor into the YRFI/NRFI as the #6 hitter. Although #5 batter Willy Adames is 3-for-4 lifetime in the matchup, all 3 of his hits have been singles. It’s also worth noting that the Giants scored a grand total of 5 earned runs in 3 games while getting swept by the lowly White Sox.
