EPL pick today: Brentford ML over Fulham (+105), 3:00 pm ET

Both clubs are enjoying terrific campaigns and are on course for top-half finishes in the EPL, although Fulham has shown signs of running out of steam in recent weeks.

Brentford needed a late goal to claim a 1-1 tie at home to Crystal Palace last time out, but that extended the Bees’ unbeaten EPL run to 11 games. Before that they had 3 impressive home wins, beating Liverpool 3-1, Bournemouth 2-0 and Southampton 3-0. They should be fresher than Fulham, having not played for more than 2 weeks, and can secure a home win.

NHL pick today: Edmonton Oilers ML over Buffalo Sabres (-145), 7:30 pm ET

Edmonton is coming off a loss while Buffalo was able to pull off an upset on Saturday. However, the Oilers faced the Winnipeg Jets on back-to-back nights, who have elite goaltending behind Connor Hellebuyck. Even still, Connor McDavid and company put up 11 goals across those 2 games. That’s bad news for Sabres fans, as their goaltending is on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. They’ve allowed the most goals since February 1, an average of 4.42 per game. The Oilers have scored the most in that time span with 4.36 goals per game.

The Oilers can’t afford to take any game lightly for the remainder of the season if they want home ice in the 1st round of the playoffs. For that reason, backing the Oilers will be the play.

College basketball pick today: BYU Cougars +7 over Saint Mary’s Gaels (-110), 9:00 pm ET

BYU traditionally plays well against Saint Mary’s, and that hasn’t changed this season. In the first meeting, the Cougars lost on a last-second bucket at home in what was a nip-and-tuck battle throughout. Nearly a month later, BYU actually led at multiple points in the second half in Morgana before falling 71-65.

Three possessions is a bit too much for a BYU team that is quietly 40th in the nation in adjusted defensive efficiency and can compete with Saint Mary’s in the post and on the perimeter. With the game expected to be played at a deliberate pace, backing the Cougars and the points will be the play.

NHL pick today: Ottawa Senators -1.5 over Chicago Blackhawks (-115), 9:07 pm ET

This is a big road trip for the Senators as they find themselves only 3 points back of the last wild-card spot thanks to a 5-game winning streak. The Blackhawks have no shot at the playoffs as they rank last in the Western Conference and 31st in the NHL.

Over the past 2 weeks the Senators have done a great job of both applying and preventing pressure, ranking around the top 10 in both expected goals for and against. The Blackhawks, have been the complete opposite, ranking in the bottom 10 in both categories over the same time. For that reason, backing the Senators to win on the puck line will be the play.
