Show Bio

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The Memphis Grizzlies travel to take on the Sacramento Kings in tonight’s second game of the NBA TV double header. The hosts have been one of the surprise teams this season making this unexpectedly a clash between 2 of the top 3 teams in the Western Conference. While there are 6 games separating the sides at the moment, the Kings could begin closing that gap with a win tonight. The Grizzlies currently lead the season series 2-1, with the Kings likely to be desperate to even things out on their home floor.

Check out the Same Game Parlay I have put together for the game below. Be sure to take a look at the rest of our NBA picks, too.

Under 246.5 (-110)

The game total tonight is currently set at 246.5 points. This total that hasn’t been surpassed in their previous 3 meetings. The Grizzlies and Kings have posted totals of 235, 222, and 226 in their 3 meetings this season. The under hit in each of those games with Jaren Jackson Jr.’s presence in the last 2 games making a significant impact. Memphis is the best defensive team in the NBA with Jackson Jr. on the floor, leading the association with a 109.2 defensive rating.

The Kings rank 25th on the season in defensive rating (114.9) but have held the Grizzlies in check for the most part. The hosts are also just 17th in pace over the last 10 games. Look for them to slow down the pace at home tonight, especially considering how dangerous Ja Morant can be in transition.

Ja Morant to score 30+ points (+120)

In 3 games against the Kings this season, Morant is averaging 30.3 points per game. I do not anticipate him dropping that average tonight. With Domantas Sabonis in the paint, the Kings do not have a great level of rim protection. The center averages just 0.5 blocks per game. It has meant that the Kings are 26th in the league in opponent points in the paint over the last 10 games. Morant is an explosive finisher in the paint, making 60.9% of his field goal attempts within 5 feet of the rim. With his matchup De’Aaron Fox being 15th on the Kings roster in defensive rating, Morant should have no trouble getting past him and getting to his spots. Look for another great scoring night from the Grizzlies star as a result.

Domantas Sabonis to record 16+ rebounds (+230)

Lithuanian center Sabonis has been able to up his rebounding numbers in each game against the Grizzlies this season, resulting in 14 the last time the sides met. I expect that trend to continue here. While Steven Adams is a tough opponent to match up against, he cannot space the floor. That should help keep the battle inside the paint between this pair. The Kings star is tenacious enough to win a fair share of these tonight. He is coming into this after a recent 18-rebound performance against another center with limited shooting ability in Jakob Poeltl. It would not be surprising to see him replicate this here too. Especially considering that he leads the league in rebounds per game.
