The Philadelphia Eagles and the Chicago Bears are the last team to kickoff on Wildcard weekend and this is expected to be a highly competitive game. Let’s break down each of these teams offense and defense and who has the big edge in this game and will advance to the next round of games. Time for our official Odds & Prediction for Eagles-Bears.

Philadelphia Eagles

Just a few weeks ago it looked like the Philadelphia Eagles were dead and out of the playoff race but when Carson Wentz went down with injury and Nick Foles stepped up. The Eagles had a strong start to their season and got a little help and now they have to have a ton of confidence in this game.

On the offensive side of the ball the Eagles struggle to run the ball averaging less than 100 yards per game on the ground. Through the air though is where their strength is averaging 267.2 yards per game which is 7th in the league.

On the defensive side of the ball they are average but the secondary has been really banged up so they have really struggled. They are 7th in the league against the run but 30th in the league against the pass. Jake Elliott has also been solid this year, so special teams really should not be an issue this game.

Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears have been a surprising team all year, and a big reason has been because of how well the defense has played.

The Bears traded for Khalil Mack from the Raiders and he has been added to a group that was already really good. They currently rank first in total points allowed and rushing yards and third in total yards allowed. The passing defense could be considered the team weakness but that is still 7th best in the league. On the offensive side the Bears are a run first team averaging 121 yards per game on the ground. They have two good running backs in Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen that are quite the 1-2 punch.

At quarterback the Bears are led by Mitchell Trubisky who has looked really good at times, and has also really struggled at times.

On special teams there are some concerns for this team, especially with their kicker Cody Parkey who has missed a lot of easy kicks. If the game comes down to him needing to make a kick there will be a lot of nervous people on that sideline.
