NHL Sunday mega parlay (+803 odds): Two overs and a puck line

Sunday brings us 5 games of NHL action. It is a relatively smaller slate, but we still have plenty to work with when putting together today’s mega parlay. Along with this parlay, don’t forget to check out our full game previews for each game on today’s slate.

Kings/Devils over 5.5 (-122)

Blues -1.5 (+160)

Senators/Blue Jackets over 6.5 (-110)

Parlay odds: +803

Kings/Devils over 5.5 (-122)

The Devils have been lighting the lamp recently, as they have scored 3 or more goals in 7 of their last 10 games, which includes a 7-goal outburst against one of the top defensive teams in the Carolina Hurricanes. Look for the Devils to ride the momentum from that performance into this matchup. On the other side, the Kings should be able to jump on a tired Devils team who are projected to start one of the worst goalies in the league. Even with some struggles scoring recently, expect some positive regression for the Kings as they rank 7th in expected goals for. Look for the goals to come early and often in this Sunday night matchup.

St Louis Blues -1.5 (+160) over Vancouver Canucks

Vancouver will be without leading scorer JT Miller, starting goalie Thatcher Demko, center Bo Horvat, and potentially winger Conor Garland. That is 3 of Vancouver’s top 4 scorers and a really solid goaltender. Those key absences could be too much to overcome against a good team like St. Louis. The Blues have won 5 of their last 6 games and 7 of their last 10. The Blues rank 7th in goals against per game, 5th in goals per game, 4th in penalty-kill, and 3rd in power play. All of those rankings are higher than Vancouver’s. St. Louis also has better numbers than Vancouver in terms of goal differential, save percentage, hit differential, blocked shot differential, and team plus/minus. The Blues have a healthy roster, and they should be able to roll against a depleted Canucks team.

Senators/Blue Jackets over 6.5 (-110)

The teams on display in this game give up a concerning number of goals. The Senators are giving up 3.65 goals per game, while the Blue Jackets are allowing 3.58 goals per game to their opponents. Those rank as the 3rd-worst and 4th-worst goals against averages in the league, and this could be a high-scoring affair. Neither teams have received steady goaltending on the season, and the offenses should be ready to roll. In what could be a sloppy effort, these teams could be shooting back and forth in a high-scoring game, so consider backing the over.
