It is easy to lose focus on the NBA with all of the excitement from March Madness this weekend, but we have a 8-game slate ahead of us with a few interesting matchups. Jokic heads to MSG to take on the surging NY Knicks (+2) as home underdogs. The Timberwolves cross the border to take on the Raptors (-9.5), and Miami vs Chicago is a bigger defensive battle than most would think. In the late window, Boston (-4) heads to Utah in the Danny Ainge revenge game. Make sure to check out all of our NBA picks for today’s action.

Julius Randle (NYK) over 8.5 rebounds (-118)

Line available on FanDuel Sportsbook at the time of publishing.

Randle has hit this line in 67% of games this season, including an 11-rebound performance against the Nuggets in November. The Kentucky product is averaging 10 rebounds at home this season, and while he averages have taken a dip of late, he’s still hit this in 4 of his last 7 games. Jalen Brunson is questionable today and if he’s a scratch, Randle will see a usage boost. While Denver has been a stout rebounding team, they are a different team on the road.  Play up to 9.5 or pivot to Double-Double at +140 on DK. 1U

Dillon Brooks (MEM) over 13.5 points (-104)

Line available on Caesars Sportsbook at the time of publishing.

Leave it to me to bet on the most hated man in the NBA right now, but this is a great spot for him. The Warriors allow 6th most FGA per game post-ASB and Brooks hit this line against Golden State 9 days ago, despite a poor shooting performance. He’s seeing a minutes boost to 31.9 in the month of March and it aligns perfectly with his season average vs GSW. When Brooks sees 32+ min, he hit this line 64% of the time. 1U on the bad guy and play up to 14.5

Lauri Markkanen (UTA) under 26.5 points (-109)

Line available on Caesars Sportsbook at the time of publishing.

I’m fading ‘Lauri Bird’ vs the Boston Celtics, and it seems poetic. Markkanen is averaging 25 PPG and 23.4 PPG in losses and is playing a Celtics team that is hungry for wins on Saturday. His 27 PPG in the month of March is right at this line, but I give the edge to Boston defensively who will look to shut down the “Finnisher” to make everyone else beat them. The Celtics are allowing the 7th fewest PPG to opposing PFs over the L15 and Grant Williams should be locked in defensively. Jordan Clarkson is questionable and I’m actually hoping he doesn’t play, as it is one less offensive threat for Boston to monitor as they hone in stopping Markkanen. He’s hit this line in 5 of the L8, but against teams like Orlando, Dallas, San Antonio, and OKC. The one game that impresses me would be Miami, but they lack the personnel to match up with Markkanen. 1U and stay on this line.
