Florida Panthers ML over New York Rangers (-170)

Not only was Sunday’s Game 3 one that provided hockey fans with extra action, but it was thrilling the whole way through. It included 4 goals in the first period alone followed by the Rangers owning the 2nd period and the Panthers owning the 3rd. While there were plenty of fireworks, diving deeper into the game tells a far different story.

The same would be said by many who were able to watch the entirety of the game, as Florida was the better team for the majority of it. So, remaining on home ice tonight should only help the Panthers replicate that, and the expected goals from Game 3 would have led them to a multi-goal victory. The team that wins Game 3 of a 1-1 series goes on to win it 67% of the time, which means Florida is up against it. Thankfully, they’ve proven that they are the perfect example of the former underdog becoming the favorite. Go with the Panthers to level up the series tonight.

Under 5.5 goals (-130)

Given we saw 9 goals scored in Game 3, taking the under may be a tough pill to swallow. However, we’re going to yet again reference back to the expected goals from Sunday’s matchup. While we saw 9 pucks find the back of the net, there were all kinds of strange plays and lucky bounces. After all, New York goaltender Igor Shesterkin and Florida goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky allowed just 6 total goals across the first 2 games of the series. So, what exactly was the expected goal value from Sunday? Per Moneypuck, it was 3.89-1.68 in favor of the Panthers. That’s right, not even 2 goals from the Rangers, who ultimately won the game scoring 5 goals. All that to say we expect some scoring regression tonight that we predict will lead to a low-scoring Florida victory.

We also have a Timberwolves vs Mavericks Same Game Parlay for tonight’s NBA action at +530 odds

Sam Bennett over 0.5 points (+130)

Who did come through for us in our Rangers vs Panthers Same Game Parlay picks for Game 3 was Matthew Tkachuk. Not only did he record a point for us, but he also came through with an assist, which we suggested as a standalone prop play. As for tonight, we’re going to stick with another Panthers skater, as we anticipate them evening up the series. The majority of their stars found their way in the box score, but one that didn’t was Sam Bennett.

If that sounds surprising, we’d agree, as he recorded a point in each of the first 2 games of the series. We’re getting such great value here with Bennett being on the second power-play unit rather than the first, but we’re confident enough in Florida’s 5-on-5. So, we’re backing the center to get involved to close out our Rangers vs Panthers Same Game Parlay picks.
