College Basketball pick today: TCU Horned Frogs -4.5 over Kansas State Wildcats (-110), 2:00 pm ET

I like TCU to cover the spread here on their home floor following their disappointing loss to Texas in the Moody Center. TCU has one of the best defenses in all of college basketball, so they should be able to keep Kansas State’s offense in check. They are giving up just 64.4 points per game and are one of the best at turning their opponents over.

According to KenPom, TCU is ranked #22 in defensive turnover percentage while Kansas State is ranked #174 on the offensive end. TCU should be able to turn Kansas State over at a high clip and get easy buckets off of those turnovers. For that reason, backing the Horned Frogs to win and cover will be the play.

NBA pick today: Toronto Raptors -6.5 over Atlanta Hawks (-110), 7:40 pm ET

The last time these teams faced off in Toronto, the Raptors were able to hold Trae Young to 14 points on 23.1% shooting. They did that by putting O.G. Anunoby and Scottie Barnes up against the point guard, with the same likely to be the case tonight.

The Hawks are just 24th in offensive rating over the last 10 games, so they could have issues if their star guard struggles to get going tonight. Over that same stretch of games, the visitors are 27th in the league in opponent points in the paint. The Raptors have started heating up from 3-point range, ranking 12th in 3-point percentage during that time, therefore backing the Raptors to win and cover will be the play tonight.

NHL pick today: Seattle Kraken 3-Way ML over Chicago Blackhawks (-155), 8:07 pm ET

The Kraken continued to show their dominance by taking down the league’s best team in the Boston Bruins by a score of 3-0 on the road. The Blackhawks also earned an impressive win by taking down the Colorado Avalanche, but with Chicago being a weak team, victories like that could be seen as a fluke.

The Kraken realize they have a great opportunity to make a playoff appearance, so taking advantage of weak teams and winnable games is a must. Chicago is not likely to beat two strong teams in a row, so I expect the Kraken to ride their strong play into this one and win without requiring any extra time.

NFL pick today: Los Angeles Chargers -2.5 over Jacksonville Jaguars (-110), 8:15 pm ET

I get that people are enamored with the Jags, but I think their deficiencies have been masked by a string of some recent opponents that they have faced. They have won 5 straight games but look at this list of QBs they have faced during their run- Josh Dobbs, Davis Mills and Zach Wilson to end the season. On the surface, the Jags’ pass defense looks pretty decent, but they have done that against the 2nd easiest schedule of opposing pass offenses this season.

This Chargers offense on the other hand, is much different when healthy, and although Mike Williams is out, I expect Justin Herbert to throw it a ton in this game to take advantage of this pass-funnel defense of the Jags. For that reason, backing the Chargers to win and cover will be the play.
