Liverpool ML over Everton & Over 1.5 goals (-230), 7:30 am ET

The Premier League gets back with a bang with the first game of the weekend being the Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton. These bitter city rivals have plenty of history so expect this to be fiery, with tackles flying, yellow cards flashed but also some goals going in — and a Liverpool win. Jurgen Klopp’s men are playing well and scoring goals, which is no surprise. Mo Salah and his fellow frontmen are all in good form with Liverpool finding the net in each of their 11 games this season, losing just once.

The last 2 times Everton have faced Liverpool at Anfield, the home side has won 2-0 and they can at least match that again. Everton fans will tell you they are improving with 2 wins in their last 3 but they still look some distance off Liverpool.

Wolves ML over Bournemouth (+190), 10:00 am ET

For Wolves head coach Gary O’Neil this game is a big deal as he takes his new team back to Bournemouth. O’Neil will feel he has a point or two to prove, having led Bournemouth to Premier League survival last May – an achievement that got him fired!

It sure is a tough school and O’Neil knows that as well as anyone. And while there’s no bitterness (in public at least), he’ll be desperate for the win and his Wolves team looks more than capable of pulling it off. Bournemouth are one of two teams in the EPL yet to register a win and are the lowest scorers with five goals. Wolves head for the Dorset coast on a 3-game unbeaten run, which includes a 2-1 triumph over champions Man City.

Manchester City vs Brighton Over 3.5 goals (-105), 10:00 am ET

You’ve got to love Brighton. The highest scorers in the EPL but also one of the worst defenses, regular attendees at their Amex Stadium home know it’s rarely dull watching their beloved Seagulls. They are also, however, a danger – to anyone. And that includes Man City, who are reeling from a couple of losses against Wolves and Arsenal before the break.

Now you’d expect City to come back strong — it’s what champions do. But if we know anything about Brighton under their impressive coach Roberto de Zerbi, it’s that they fear no one and go all out in every game, no matter the opponent. This should be fun to watch and full of goals.

Arsenal ML over Chelsea (+130), 12:30 pm ET

There’s also a big London derby taking place on Saturday with Chelsea and Arsenal going toe to toe at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are going through a rebuild under Mauricio Pochettino and it may pay not to read too much into back-to-back road wins at Fulham and Burnley before the international break. Arsenal are a step up in class for Chelsea, with the Gunners having won on their last 3 visits to the Bridge, and they look likely to make it 4 in a row with the way they are playing.
