College Basketball pick today: Maryland Terrapins vs Purdue Boilermakers – Under 132 points (-110), 1:00 pm ET

The Maryland Terrapins and the Purdue Boilermakers will face off this afternoon in Mackey Arena for a Big Ten Conference game. Purdue has an efficient offense led by National Player of the Year Favorite Zach Edey, but both teams have a good enough defense to limit scoring, and the pace of play should be slow enough to make this total go under. Purdue loves to slow the game down and run their offense through Edey in the half court. According to KenPom, Purdue is ranked #327 in adjusted tempo and #327 in average offensive possession length.

Maryland likes to push the ball a bit more than Purdue, but is still ranked only #243 nationally in adjusted tempo. For that reason, backing the under will be the play.

NFL pick today: Cincinnati Bengals +5.5 over Buffalo Bills (-110), 3:00 pm ET

We have a great matchup here in the divisional round of the AFC playoffs as the Buffalo Bills get ready to host the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals have arguably been playing the most consistent football in the NFL over the past couple of months, and they enter this one having won 9 games in a row. They aren’t getting nearly enough respect for a team that’s on a 9-game winning streak.

The Bills on the other hand, had a really easy matchup in the first round, and just look at who they finished the regular season playing against. Their final 7 games came against the Patriots, Bears, Dolphins, Jets, Patriots, Lions and Browns. Miami was the only one of those teams who made the playoffs and the Bills have played just 2 teams that made the postseason since all the way back in Week 6. This game seems like a toss-up, therefore backing the Bengals to cover will be the play.

NBA pick today: Miami Heat -7.5 over New Orleans Pelicans (-110), 3:40 pm ET

The Pelicans have just 3 wins from their last 10 and rank 23rd in net offensive and defensive rating over that stretch. Going up against a team that is 3rd in defensive rating is not going to help matters tonight. Bam Adebayo has established himself as one of the premier defensive centers in the league and should do a great job of disrupting the CJ McCollum and Jonas Valanciunas pick and roll. If the Pelicans struggle to get that part of their game going, they will have issues creating open looks for their 3-and-D players like Herbert Jones and Troy Murphy III. For that reason, backing the Heat will be the play.

NHL pick today: Vegas Golden Knights 3-way ML over Arizona Coyotes (-125), 8:07 pm ET

The Vegas Golden Knights travel to Arizona to take on the Coyotes for the third time this season. Vegas has won both their previous matchups and are in a good spot to make it three in a row. Arizona is 1-9-0 in their last 10 games and has been outscored 8-0 in their last 2. Vegas is the better team on paper and they should be in control of this game from start to finish and take care of business in regulation.
