College Basketball pick today: Michigan State Spartans vs Purdue Boilermakers – Under 130.5 points (-115), 12:15 pm ET

Tom Izzo and the Michigan State Spartans (14-7, 6-4 Big Ten) head to West Lafayette to take on the #1 Purdue Boilermakers (20-1, 9-1 Big Ten) for their 2nd meeting in less than 2 weeks. The game total of 130.5 is 3-points lower than their last meeting and I’d expect the game to play out in a similar fashion. Both Michigan State and Purdue are inside the top 35 in adjusted defensive efficiency and play with some of the slowest tempos in the entire nation. Out of 363 division I programs, both teams rank in the bottom 50 in terms of tempo. Look for this to be your stereotypical, hard-nosed Big Ten basketball game and back the under.

NHL pick today: Boston Bruins ML over Carolina Hurricanes (+110), 5:07 pm ET

The Boston Bruins travel to Carolina to take on the Hurricanes for the second time this season. Boston was able to secure a 3-2 victory in their first meeting and are hoping for more of the same. The Bruins are playing the tail end of a back-to-back, but that shouldn’t be a reason to fade them.

Carolina has won 4 games in a row and look really good, but Boston is still the best team in the NHL and they lead almost every important offensive and defensive category. They’ lost both their road games in Florida and are going to want to get back on track in this one. It’s not every day we can get Boston at plus money, so it’s time to jump on that today.

NFL pick today: Cincinnati Bengals vs Kansas City Chiefs – Under 48 points (-105), 6:30 pm ET

The last three meetings between these two teams, all decided by a field goal, all got to at least 51. So, it’s no surprise to see certain shops open this total at that number or higher. But with Mahomes not at 100% sharp bettors quickly bet the number down.

The Chiefs have actually scored less at home this year than on the road with the total going under in six of the last seven at Arrowhead. Cincinnati has had similar success to the under on the road with 11 of their last 15 games away from Paul Brown Stadium staying under the total.

While it won’t shock anyone to see both these teams scoring in the high-20s or low 30s, with Mahomes injury it’s tough to back that notion. For that reason, backing the under looks to be the best play.

NHL pick today: New Orleans Pelicans vs Milwaukee Bucks – Over 233.5 points (-110), 8:10 pm ET

These are the 4th and 5th-best defenses in the NBA in terms of efficiency this season, but despite that we have the projected total set at 233.5 points. That might be due to the fact that 9 of the last 10 meetings have gone over the total, and the teams have combined to average 242.7 points during that stretch.

The teams also have an identical record of 16-8 on the O/U at home and on the road, so that’s working in our favor as well. The last 6 meetings at Fiserv Forum have gone over, and that trend should continue tonight.
