EPL pick today: Arsenal ML over Crystal Palace (-380), 10:00 am ET

Arsenal can now fully concentrate on its EPL title bid after being eliminated from the Europa League in a shootout by Sporting on Thursday. A 3-0 win over Fulham last Sunday reinstated the Gunners’ 5-point lead at the top of the standings and, with Manchester City in FA Cup action this weekend, they have a great opportunity to extend their advantage when they face Crystal Palace.

Palace has been in terrible form, going 12 games without a win and Wednesday’s 1-0 EPL loss to Brighton led to manager Patrick Vieira being fired. Because of the poor form shown by Crystal Palace, backing Arsenal to win will be the play.

NHL pick today: Winnipeg Jets vs St. Louis Blues – Over 6.5 goals (-105), 7:07 pm ET

We’ve got a matchup of Central Division teams to round out the NHL weekend. However, they’re headed in completely opposite directions. Winnipeg was in action against the Nashville Predators on Saturday. Not only that, but they also had to pull off a comeback and go into overtime. More importantly, the Jets had starting goaltender Connor Hellebuyck in net. He’s the primary reason for their great goaltending stats, so him being unavailable should allow Jordan Kyrou and the Blues to find the net.

It is also worth mentioning that St. Louis has allowed the 6th-most goals per game this season. When the Jets flew to visit the Blues earlier this season, it was a 5-2 victory for Winnipeg. For that reason, backing the over will be the play.

College Basketball pick today: Creighton Bluejays +1 over Baylor Bears (-115), 7:10 pm ET

The Creighton Bluejays and the Baylor Bears will meet tonight in the round of 32 of the NCAA Tournament. Baylor has the guard play to make a deep run in March, but their defense is not good enough to get them there. Defense wins games in this tournament, and they have struggled on that end of the floor all season. According to KenPom, Baylor’s defense is ranked #315 in 2-point percentage. The Bears will have no answer for the Bluejays offense that is ranked #22 in 2-point percentage and #28 in effective field goal percentage. For that reason, backing the Bluejays to cover will be the play.

XFL pick today: Arlington Renegades +3 over San Antonio Brahmas (-110), 10:00 pm ET

Week 5 of the XFL season will wrap up tonight as the San Antonio Brahmas take on the Arlington Renegades. Arlington sits at 2-2 while San Antonio enters at 1-3. We’re going with the Renegades on the road. The Brahmas had one good game against the Guardians, but outside of that, they’ve been pretty terrible. Their win over Orlando has more to do with the fact that the Guardians are 0-4 than anything else. In their most recent game, a loss to Seattle, the Brahmas put up only 6 points.

Arlington has some talent on defense, including linebacker Donald Payne, who led the league in tackles entering Week 5. San Antonio also lost to St. Louis in their only home game of the season, therefore backing the Renegades to cover will be the play.
