It’s Super Bowl week in the NFL! I will be listing my top three cash game plays, and my top three GPP plays for the Super Bowl on FanDuel. Let’s begin by taking a look at the top three plays for cash games on FanDuel.
Patrick Mahomes is a Must Play in the MVP Slot
Patrick Mahomes is the reason why the Kansas City Chiefs are our Super Bowl Pick. Although we like the under 304.5 passing yards Prop Bet, we still love him to win the Super Bowl MVP. Mahomes has been on a tear all season and has picked it up a notch in the postseason passing for 615 yards and eight touchdowns while rushing for 106 yards and a touchdown.
Harrison Butker Sneaky Play on FanDuel
If you are like me and you expect the Chiefs to be able to move the ball against the 49ers, then Butker makes sense. The 49ers have one of the better red-zone defenses in the NFL, which means Butker could see multiple field goal opportunities in this game. I think he will, and given he is one of the most accurate kickers in the NFL, he’s a sneaky play this week in cash games.
Travis Kelce leads the Chiefs in Receiving Yards
I’m going full out Chiefs stack in DFS this weekend. They are the better offense and even though the 49ers have one of the better defenses in the NFL. I think they will have trouble slowing down this offense. Kelce has been the main target in the passing game for the Chiefs all postseason with 16 targets, which he has caught 13 for 164 yards and three touchdowns.
The thing with GPP contests is you want to zig while everyone else zags, and this week is no different. I look for the Chiefs to have a massive amount of ownership in contests, which is suitable for cash, but not so much for GPPs. The game script that will not surprise me at all in this game is if the Chiefs go up big and the 49ers are forced to pass the ball, which is why the 49ers passing game is what I’m constructing my GPP lineups around. Let’s take a look at how my lineup in GPPs on FanDuel will look.
George Kittle MVP in GPPs
In GPPs, it’s not a great idea to start the quarterback in the MVP slot on FanDuel. Yes, they will get the most points. However, over half of the lineups will have a quarterback in the MVP slot, which is why it’s better to be different. Kittle is Garoppolo’s favorite target in the passing game. He has also had a quiet postseason. However, this is the Super Bowl, and I think Kittle has a chance to explode in this match-up.
Jimmy Garoppolo Must Play
Even though I’m not going with Jimmy G as my MVP play in GPPs, that doesn’t mean he won’t be in my lineup. Garoppolo is going to be under-owned this weekend given his lack of passing attempts he has had this postseason. However, I look for the 49ers passing game to be a critical factor in the Super Bowl, and Jimmy G is still in my lineup construction in GPP contests.
Deebo Samuel Under the Radar Play
I’m going to go with Deebo Samuel in my 49ers stack in GPPs this week. Samuel will likely be one of the lowest owned players in contests this weekend. However, he has the potential to have massive production against the Chiefs. He’s a player that could essentially win you the GPP with a big game in the Super Bowl.
