The NBA Playoffs continue tonight with 3 more Game 2s to sink our teeth into. First up we have Magic vs Celtics on TNT, with Orlando looking to stay competitive with the reigning champs. That is followed by Heat vs Cavaliers on NBA TV before Warriors vs Rockets on TNT brings the night’s action to a close. I’ve picked out my best NBA player prop bet from that Golden State vs Houston matchup, targeting Dillon Brooks, so let’s dive in! I’m 8-1 on NBA player props for Pickswise this season, so here’s hoping for another big win. You can also find out our NBA picks for EVERY game of the postseason.

Dillon Brooks (HOU) over 0.5 free-throws made (-115)

Odds available at Fanatics Sportsbook at time of publishing.

I know this one may not be widely available, but it’s my favorite bet of the day. The books really did a great job on this 3-game Wednesday slate in setting every main market exactly where it should be. This one feels like it has value though. In Game 1, we saw Dillon Brooks attempt 4 free throws and he made 3 of them. He isn’t a guy who is seeking contact on the regular but this bet has so many different avenues to cashing.

First off, playoff basketball is historically chippier and more prone to hard fouls to make a statement. Going against a guy like Draymond Green makes me feel confident that there could be a moment in the game (especially if Golden State is struggling) where we could see Brooks get fouled hard. Brooks is a known disrupter and pest on the court with a target on his back. Additionally, Houston is a slight favorite in this game. This is a bet that can cash in the final moments if Golden State is forced to intentionally foul late. Brooks shoots over 80% at the line so he is a prime candidate late in this game.

Brooks will be needed to be on the court for his defense and the more minutes he plays the more opportunity he will have to find himself at the line. We need just 1 made free throw so this could cash at any point in the game. I think we’re getting a great price on Brooks getting a point at the charity stripe.
