After a wild ride of NBA In-Season Tournament semifinals last night, we are back with a full 13-game menu of games on Friday. There’s a lot of action to choose from but we’ve done the work for you and found value spots to wager on. These are my favorite NBA player prop bets for Friday, December 8, but make sure you also check out our NBA picks for tonight’s biggest games.

Dennis Schroder (TOR) over 1.5 threes (+106)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing. Recommended 1u wager.

The Raptors have lost 4 of their last 5 games and some recent struggles for their starting point guard Dennis Schroder have contributed to that. He has failed to hit 2 threes in each of his last 3 games but not due to lack of volume, which is why I am backing regression to his mean today.

Toronto is expected to start their preferred lineup on Friday, which includes three-point threat OG Anunoby. In games playing alongside Anunoby this season, Schroder is averaging 1.65 threes made on 5.02 attempts per 33 minutes, and now he gets a Hornets defense that remains soft against the deep ball. This season, Charlotte has allowed the 11th-most threes made per game overall and since the lineup shift due to the injury of LaMelo Ball, they have allowed the 4th-most above-the-break three-point attempts, which fits right into Schroder’s wheelhouse.

Darius Garland (CLE) under 22.5 points (-120)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing. Recommended 1u wager.

The Cavaliers are currently in a transition of health; even though they have most of their starters in a rhythm now, Evan Mobley is questionable and Caris LeVert is out tonight. This line is an overreaction to the news though. This season, Darius Garland averages just 19.2 points per 36 minutes when Donovan Mitchell starts alongside him. Today, they will face a Heat defense that is deep and still has the resources to contain Garland’s skillset.

Although Miami is missing their 2 best defenders (Bam Adebayo and Haywood Highsmith), that implies an easier path to isolation buckets for #1-option Donovan Mitchell and easy paint buckets for Evan Mobley, if he plays, and Jarrett Allen. Garland will still see solid perimeter defenders in Josh Richardson, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Jamal Cain, and would need to be efficient as a jump-shooter to go over this line, especially in a slow-paced game where Vegas has the total set at just 220.

Victor Wembanyama (SA) 2+ threes (-105)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing. Recommended 1u wager.

Once again, we are asking for a bounceback from a cold three-point shooter in a fantastic matchup. The #1 overall pick of the 2023 draft has had his issues from deep recently, hitting this line in only 1 of his last 6 games. However, on the season, he is averaging 1.39 threes made on 5.04 attempts per 33 minutes when he plays alongside Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell, as he is expected to on Friday. Now, Wemby gets to face a Bulls defense that has allowed the 2nd-most threes made per game this season, in a 2.5-point spread, implying a potential opportunity for heavy minutes in a close game for the rookie.
