Wednesday in the NBA returns to our regularly scheduled programming. The In-Season Tournament is on pause as we pivot back to regular-season play. We are gifted with a few really good matchups and a strong 11-game slate. Two of the more intriguing matchups are the Orlando Magic vs Cleveland Cavaliers (-4.5) and the Oklahoma City Thunder vs Houston Rockets (+2.5), as both could be realistic playoff matchups we see in Round 1. All of these teams are coming off of at least 3 days of rest and should be fresh heading into the Christmas break. One of the benefits of this new In-Season Tournament are the pockets of rest for teams so that the product on the court is more competitive. You get read our NBA picks for tonight’s games, but for now, let’s get into my favorite NBA player prop bet.

Mark Williams (CHA) over 21.5 points + rebounds (-120)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Williams is averaging 0.85 points+rebounds (PR) per minute this season with a median minute output of 29 minutes, projecting us at 24.9 PR. When we look at the matchup, the Bulls are slow in pace, run multiple 3-guard sets and are allowing the 4th-most rebounds per game this season to opponents. Williams has hit this in 10 of 18 games this season and has logged a double-double in 8 of 18. This is a great spot for him as he has registed a double-double in 2 of his last 4 games, aligning with Rozier’s return. Williams managed 20 and 16 PR against the Bulls last season despite playing less than 20 minutes in each of those games. On the road in 2023, Williams is averaging 25.4 PR, with a significant uptick in field-goal attempts when traveling. This is a 1.5u play for me and his double-double is also worth 1u at +145 odds.
