The NHL is back to a loaded Saturday slate with 13 games on tap for hockey fans. The action begins at 12:30 pm ET on the east coast and will wrap up after midnight eastern thanks to the west coast games. At any point during that 12-hour stretch you are able to watch some hockey, it will be waiting for you. This slate has it all. From outdoor games, to rivalry games, to heavyweight bouts, to lightweight bouts, to inter-conference matchups, this will be a day of hockey you will not want to miss.

You can find out our 2 best NHL player prop bets below, but make sure you also read our NHL predictions for today’s games.

David Pastrnak, BOS, Over 0.5 goals (-130)

The Bruins enter this game winless in their last 3 games. While it is not cause for much concern, this losing streak is one they will want to end and get back in the win column. Fortunately for the Bruins, they get a favorable match to do so. They have already beat the Kings this year by a score of 4-2. Boston also catches Los Angeles in a 5-9-6 run. The Kings are vulnerable and the Bruins can take advantage.

If the Bruins are going to bounce back, there is a good chance David Pastrnak will be involved in the production. Pastrnak leads the Bruins in goals with 34, in assists with 44 and in points with 78. He also ranks top 4 in the NHL in goals and points. Pastrnak is on the Bruins’ top line and top powerplay. Every shift he is on the ice with some combination of very good, productive teammates. Boston is the better team, will play with urgency and should be led by its top goal and point producer.

Connor McDavid, EDM, Over 1.5 points (+100)

While Connor McDavid had a slower start to the season, he is making up for it now. Since November 24 the Oilers are 26-6-0. During that span, McDavid has 64 points. For those of you counting at home, that is a 2 point per game average across a span of over 32 games. This is not some 2-week long hot streak that will just fade away.

Sure, the Stars are a good team. But the Oilers played several good teams several times during their current run. Earlier this week Edmonton faced a solid Detroit squad and McDavid had 6 points. Look for McDavid to come out with plenty of jam in this one, as well, following a 6-3 loss to the Blues. This has the makings of a thriller between a couple of Western Conference powerhouses. If this stays a close game come the 3rd period, McDavid will get even more ice time and push even harder for offense. Another 2 points for McDavid would be status quo.
