I've been a capper since my love for sports met my proficiency with numbers and math. The NFL and NCAAF have always been my first loves, followed by the NHL. Although I prefer sports that involve hitting people, I still love capping MLB, soccer, tennis, and even some esports. Living in Florida has its perks like year-round sports of any kind. While things have gone smoothly in the Stanley Cup playoffs for a couple teams in the Eastern Conference, the Western Conference has been much more of a battle. That’s why we’re set up with two incredible Game 6 matchups to begin the weekend tonight. Given how back-and-forth these series have been, they can be difficult to predict in terms of winners, so we’ve provided another approach with our best NHL prop bet picks. Along with our best NHL player props, be sure to check out all of our NHL picks for today’s action.

JT Miller over 0.5 assists (-110)

Odds available at time of publishing. Playable to -125.

The first of our NHL prop bet picks for today is, of course, in the first game of the night. It’s been a low-scoring series between the Vancouver Canucks and Nashville Predators, as evidenced by the Preds’ 2-1 Game 5 victory. However, the Canucks can still close things out with a win in Nashville tonight, and we’re focused on a Vancouver skater. Quinn Hughes has been a cash cow for us this season, and JT Miller has been just as strong.

Although goals have been hard to come by overall in the series, when the puck does find the back of the net, Miller is usually involved. In the 5 games this series, Miller has recorded 6 total points, 5 of which have been assists. Better yet, 5 of those 6 points came in Nashville, which is why being on the road tonight does not cause any hesitation in this pick. His 66 assists during the regular season were also the 6th-most in the entire NHL, so JT Miller to record an assist tonight is the first of our NHL prop bet picks.

Jason Robertson over 2.5 shots on goal (-130)

Odds available at time of publishing. Playable to -145.

The later game tonight features the Dallas Stars looking to make it 4 straight wins over the defending Stanley Cup-champion Vegas Golden Knights, and ultimately, win the series. Despite going down 2-0 after 2 home games, the young stars of Dallas have helped give them a 3-2 series lead. One of which is Jason Robertson, who has now scored 8 playoff goals against the Golden Knights. That means he has been freely taking his chances, and he is not missing his target.

Robertson has recorded at least 3 shots on goal in 4 of 5 games in this series, which is exactly how he performed in the regular season as well. He recorded 3 and 5 shots on goal in the 2 most recent matchups, and now there is blood in the water after winning 3 straight games. The Stars also won both games in Vegas thus far, so being on the road is yet again of no concern. Don’t be surprised if this prop goes to 3.5 shots per game if Dallas advances as well. Until then, we’ll grab the value to close out our NHL prop bet picks for today.
