NHL fans got to enjoy yet another incredible performance by 18-year-old Connor Bedard last night, who recorded 5 points in the Chicago Blackhawks’ 7-2 win. That made it 8 points in his last 2 games, and while we unfortunately won’t see him on the ice again tonight, we still have a solid 4-game slate to enjoy. With that said, our experts have broken down the matchups and provided their best NHL prop bet picks for today.  Along with our best NHL player props, be sure to check out all of our NHL picks for today’s action.

Adrian Kempe over 3.5 shots on goal (+110)

Odds available at time of publishing. Playable to -110.

One of the 2 early games for tonight takes place in St. Louis with the Blues hosting the Los Angeles Kings. It’s a pivotal matchup for both teams, as they are both in the mix for a Western Conference Wild Card spot. LA is in a bit of a better position for sure, and it’s a skater on the Kings that we’re targeting.

Consider Trevor Moore going over 2.5 shots on goal, but with a far more expensive price, we’re going to focus on Adrian Kempe. Over his last 7 games, he’s recorded at least 4 shots on goal in all but 2 of them. That includes several 7 and 5-shot games, and now he gets to face a Blues team that ranks inside the bottom 10 in terms of shots allowed per game. When these teams faced off at the end of January, Kempe recorded 4 shots on goal, so we’ll gladly take the plus-money odds to get our NHL prop bet picks started.

Connor McDavid over 1.5 points (-115)

Odds available at time of publishing. Playable to -130.

Anytime we have the Edmonton Oilers on home ice as massive favorites against a clearly inferior opponent, we know that we’re going to be paying a premium. However, this is a far more reasonable price for Connor McDavid to record multiple points than we expected. After all, he’s been the Art Ross Trophy winner 5 times and is the reigning Hart Trophy winner. We also just saw Nathan MacKinnon extend his streak of multi-point games last night, so there’s no doubt McDavid won’t want to be outdone.

Regardless, he’s facing a Washington Capitals team that made it clear they were throwing the towel when they traded Evgeny Kuznetsov at the deadline on Friday. Even when these teams faced off earlier in the year when the Caps were 10-5-2, McDavid recorded 4 assists. He’s also coming off a 3-point game on Sunday, so there’s no reason to doubt his greatness tonight. If you’re able, consider a 2-assist play, but as for our official NHL prop bet picks, we’re going with at least 2 points from Connor McDavid.
