FA Cup pick today: Leeds United +0.5 over Fulham (-150), 2:45 pm ET

Leeds picked up a huge win over Southampton in its fight for EPL survival last weekend and could convert that confidence boost into an FA Cup win at Fulham this afternoon. They were more measured and had a better balance in the 1-0 win against the Saints in head coach Javi Gracia’s first game in charge.

Fulham needed an excellent curling effort from Manor Solomon to rescue a point from Friday’s home game with Wolves and it could be worth fading the home team, who have won only 2 of their last 10 home FA Cup games.

College basketball pick today: Clemson Tigers +6 over Virginia Cavaliers (-105), 7:00 pm ET

The Virginia Cavaliers (21-6, 13-5) seem to be broken right now. They have lost 2 straight and dropped out of the top spot in the ACC standings because of it. Before their back-to-back losses to Boston College and North Carolina, they had concerning performances against ACC bottom feeders Louisville and Notre Dame, whom the Cavaliers beat by just 5 combined points despite being double-digit favorites in both games.

Unlike the Cavaliers, the Clemson Tigers (21-8, 13-5) come into this contest off some impressive performances. The Tigers have scored 90 points in back-to-back wins against Syracuse and NC State, with the latter being away from home in a 25-point win in Raleigh. Clemson has had its struggles on the road this season, but the Tigers are solid as an underdog, covering 5 of 7 games in that role. Backing the Tigers to cover will be the play.

NHL pick today: Tampa Bay Lightning ML over Florida Panthers (-165), 7:08 pm ET

The Panthers’ captain, first-line center and the backbone of their power play, Aleksander Barkov, will miss this game with a hand injury. This is a tough loss for the Panthers as he ranks 3rd on the team in points. The other player to note in this game will be the Lightning’s projected starting goalie, Andrei Vasilevskiy. He was lit up by the Panthers in the first game after the all-star break, allowing 7 goals, but will be looking for a bounce back performance. Since the beginning of the month, Vasilevskiy ranks 6th out of 85 goalies, in goals saved above expected, so he can be expected to get back on track. Backing the Lightning money line is the play.

NHL pick today: Calgary Flames ML over Boston Bruins (-105), 9:00 pm ET

The Boston Bruins have been the best team in hockey all season, as they are out to set the NHL record for wins and points. However, this is one of the very few times there is value with their opposition. Calgary has largely underperformed this season, yet you’ll often still see the Flames as larger favorites than you may anticipate. Even in this spot, you would think they would have better odds given they are facing the best team in the NHL. However, power rankings and advanced metrics show that they are still one of the top teams.

They have work to do to secure a playoff spot, but if they make it, they could make some noise. Calgary struck first when these teams met in November, and now they are back on home ice after 3 straight road games, backing the Flames to win looks to be worth a play.
