UFC 323 parlay pick: Merab Dvalishvili Win by Decision over Petr Yan (-250)

The Main Event at UFC 323 will see Merab Dvalishvili take on Petr Yan. This will be a fight in the UFC Bantamweight division and will be for the UFC Bantamweight title. Dvalishvili enters this fight with an MMA record of 21-4 and 14-2 in the UFC. He is averaging 4.33 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 42%. Dvalishvili is absorbing 2.55 strikes and has a striking defense of 56%. His grappling is elite as he averages 6.40 takedowns every 15 minutes. Dvalishvili also has a takedown accuracy of 37% and a takedown defense of 82%.

Dvalishvili is the overwhelming favorite; therefore, we will be looking to target his possible method of victory. He has won 6 of his last 7 UFC fights by decision, while Yan’s last three UFC losses were by decision. Further, Dvalishvili has the clear advantage in grappling; therefore, backing Dvalishvili to win by decision will be our lean.

UFC 323 parlay pick: Alexandre Pantoja ML over Joshua Van (-238)

The Co-Main Event at UFC 323 will see Alexandre Pantoja take on Joshua Van. This will be a fight in the UFC Flyweight division and will be for the UFC Flyweight title. Pantoja enters this fight with an MMA record of 30-5 and 14-3 in the UFC. He averages 4.36 strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 50%. Pantoja absorbs 3.88 strikes and has a striking defense of 49%. His grappling is also solid, averaging 2.80 takedowns every 15 minutes and 1.0 submission attempts during the same period. Pantoja has a takedown accuracy of 47% and a takedown defense of 69%.

Pantoja is the heavy favorite, but still looks to be the best betting option. He has won 8 UFC fights in a row and has defended his UFC Flyweight title a total of four times. Further, Pantoja has the edge in grappling, so while his striking volume does not stack up to Van’s, he is still a strong enough striker to be able to stand up and fight. Van has had plenty of success in the UFC, but has not faced a fighter who is as balanced as Pantoja. For that reason, backing Pantoja to win will be our lean.

UFC 323 parlay pick: Payton Talbott ML over Henry Cejudo (-278)

The second fight on the Main Card at UFC 323 will see Henry Cejudo take on Payton Talbott. This will be a fight in the UFC Bantamweight division. Talbott enters this fight with an MMA record of 10-1 and 5-1 in the UFC. He averages 6.05 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 54%. Talbott absorbs 3.26 strikes and has a striking defense of 46%. His grappling has been weak, averaging just 0.24 takedowns every 15 minutes. He has a takedown accuracy of 25% and a takedown defense of 76%.

Talbott is the strong favorite, but still looks to be the best betting option. He has been much more consistent recently, while Cejudo has lost his last 3 UFC fights in a row. Talbot also has the clear advantage in striking volume. Even though Cejudo has the advantage in grappling, Talbott’s takedown defense has been strong enough to limit this advantage. For that reason, backing Talbott to win will be our lean.
