Good morning, Pickswise Nation, and welcome to another wonderful week of sports. The US Open tennis tournament starts today and we have a bigger-than-usual Monday baseball slate too, so let’s get straight to making your next bet better.

About Last Night

Great week for our golf expert!
Our golf expert Diane Knox Balas is in red-hot form cashed +550 winner Viktor Hovland in the Tour Championship on Sunday as well as a winning +1200 play on Xander Schauffele to be the top American player. Hovland won by 5 shots with Schauffele in 2nd place!

Back-to-back MLB parlay wins!
After we cashed both our MLB mega parlay and standard parlay on Saturday, the Pickswise team were back at it again with another parlay win at +569 odds yesterday. It wasn’t even a sweat as we had the Cubs ML (won 10-1), Astros -1.5 (beat the Tigers 17-4!) and over 8.5 in Rangers-Twins, which Minnesota won 7-6. On top of that, our MLB Best Bet of the Rays’ ML cashed as they beat the Yankees 7-4.

Today’s Slate

14-game MLB slate today
Mondays are often quiet in the MLB, but not today as we have a strong 14-game evening slate, starting with Angels vs Phillies and Yankees vs Tigers on MLB Network at 6:40 pm ET. Check out today’s MLB picks.

The US Open is here
The world’s top tennis players are in New York this week for the US Open, which starts today. Our tennis ace Ricky Dimon, who has had recent winners at +1600 and +1000, has today’s tennis predictions for Day 1.

Best Bet of the Day

MLB: Texas Rangers ML over New York Mets
7:10 pm ET

The Texas Rangers will send Jon Gray to the mound today. He has been stable and reliable on the season as a whole, although he gave up 5 runs in 4 innings in his last start. Prior to that, he had 2 games of 7 innings and a combined 1 run, though, and his opponent, Tylor Megill has been typical of the Mets’ season — playable, but still well below average. The Mets mustered only 7 runs over the entire weekend against the Angels and the Rangers have a great chance to get back in the win column. Check out our full Rangers vs Mets predictions.

Stat of the Day

There have been different winners of the men’s US Open in each of the last 5 seasons (Djokovic, Nadal, Thiem, Medvedev and Alcaraz).

“I know my coaches have trust and faith in me, so I’ll go out there and do my best.”

CJ Stroud was named Houston’s Week 1 starting QB after the Texans’ 17-13 preseason win over the Saints yesterday.
