We're heading back to London for an important AFC South showdown between the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars. Trevor Lawrence and company have the distinct advantage of staying over in London following their victory over the Eagles a week ago, and that should provide them with enough of an edge against a Texans team that is coming off a very difficult start to the season and is essentially in must-win mode this week.
CJ Stroud is playing some of the best football of his career at the moment, and much of that has to do with the return of Nico Collins to the lineup. However, I still have plenty of questions about Houston's nonexistent running game, and that doesn't bode well against a Jacksonville defense that ranked first in EPA per rush and rushing success rate allowed (SumerSports). If the Texans are consistently forced into long distances on late downs, it could be a long afternoon for Houston's offense.
On the other side, Jacksonville boasts a versatile offense that should be able to generate a decent amount of success against a somewhat banged-up Houston secondary. It's not my favorite bet on the board by any means, but I'll roll with the Jaguars.
Texans vs Jaguars prediction: Jaguars -2.5 (-110) available at time of publishing. Playable to that number to -120.
