New Orleans Saints vs New York Giants Prediction, Odds and NFL Picks for Sunday, 10/18/26

A matchup between two NFC foes is on offer in the afternoon slate on Sunday in Week 6 of the NFL season. On one side, the Saints got out to a hot start with a road win over the Ravens and a narrow loss to the Lions over the first two weeks. Since that victory in Baltimore, Tyler Shough and company have dropped three straight games, with two of those losses coming by double digits. On the other side, New York has done just fine in Jaxson Dart's absence, winning games against the Titans and Cardinals at home. This is another decent matchup for John Harbaugh's group against a Saints team that has come crashing back to Earth.

The Giants should've won a third straight game a week ago, had they not fumbled in overtime on their way to a potential game-winning field goal in Washington. Jameis Winston struggled in his first outing as the starting quarterback this season, but the Giants have since tallied 63 combined points over the last couple of contests. They'll be taking on a Saints defense that is 28th in EPA per play and 31st in success rate (SumerSports), which bodes well for an offense that wants to spread the ball around more to Malik Nabers and Isaiah Likely in the downfield passing game. New York isn't a great team by any means, but I like the Giants as a home underdog on Sunday.

Neither defense has done much to impress me to this point, and I don't expect that to change all that much on Sunday. New Orleans is among the worst units in the league in EPA per play and success rate allowed, while also sitting at 31st in EPA per rush allowed. The Giants should be able to have success on early downs and move the ball with consistency in a favorable matchup. On the other side, the Saints' offense has shown an ability to move the ball through the air, and that should continue against a New York defense that is 24th in success rate allowed to this point. It wouldn't shock me if this was a game played in the upper 40s.
