These teams are coming off very different results in Week 1, as the Jets comprehensively beat down the Titans on the road, while the Packers blew yet another double digit lead in the second half en route to a brutal loss against a division rival. While Green bay looked the part of an NFC playoff team at its best, this is a very hard group to trust at the moment, especially away from Lambeau Field. The Jets actually have pathways to success in this game on both sides of the ball, so it's hard to ignore the value I'm seeing with New York being priced as underdogs of above a field goal at home.
The Packers' offensive line is a real issue, as Green Bay finished with the worst pass blocking win rate grade in Week 1 against Minnesota. While we won't see nearly the same level of heavy blitzing from the Jets on Sunday, New York is still pretty talented up front and should be able to create havoc on Jordan Love — who needs no excuse to turn the ball over when pressured.
On the other side, the Jets offense is a much more serious operation with Geno Smith under center and Frank Reich calling the plays. New York should have success against a Packers defensive front that is extremely poor without Micah Parsons, and it wouldn't shock me if the Jets even won the game outright. For his career, Love is a whopping 0-8 against the spread when laying over a field goal on the road, so I can only look at the Jets to keep things close.
Packers vs Jets prediction: Jets +3.5 (-105) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
