It’s been quite an up and down season for Tage Thompson and the Buffalo Sabres with 6-3 and 4-0 losses and two one-goal wins. What helped them take a step up in class last season was adding to their high-flying attack with solid goaltending, but has it been consistent enough for us to back them with our best Mammoth vs Sabres prediction?
Well, being in the middle of a five-game home stretch is certainly nice, and as for the Utah Mammoth, they have proven that even without household, high-profile names, they can do their fair share of scoring as well. That said, they were most recently held to just a single goal the last time on the ice, and this is going to be their final road game of a five-game span before they get to be back at home where they thrived in their season opener. Even with the polarizing home/road splits here, Buffalo still has a very reasonable money line price to lock in for our Mammoth vs Sabres prediction.
We expect the consistency of goaltending to turn around to look more like it did at the tail end of last season, even if Utah isn’t a cake walk. You can pivot to the over for this one, but we’re locking in a home victory for the Sabres.
