Tuesday night in the NHL brings us a big time meeting between the Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes. These teams have flourished so far, combining for an overall record of 18-4-3, each owning the lead in their respective division. It will be a great test for both teams, and must-watch hockey. Here is our expert Bruins vs. Hurricanes prediction.
This is Carolina’s first home game in five games, with their last appearance in front of their faithful being on October 13th. This will be a welcome feeling for the group, looking to win their third-straight at home. Taylor Hall has just returned to the lineup after an injury, and the team hasn’t missed a beat without their captain Jordan Staal due to his own injury. The Bruins have a clean bill of health, but I believe Carolina boasts the better roster, which may become evident when all is said and done. While the Bruins have stacked up wins this season, they haven’t exactly been playing a ton of pure contenders. Losses to the Minnesota Wild (4-1), Ottawa Senators (4-1), and Dallas Stars (3-2 OT) tell a tale that they may not be as close to the surging teams as we think. Time will tell, but I am not fully convinced on this Bruins team just yet. For our Bruins vs. Hurricanes prediction, take Carolina on the money line.
