The New Jersey Devils and Dallas Stars meet for a big Tuesday night showdown in the NHL. After acquiring star goaltender Connor Hellebuyck, the Devils are clearly all-in. Will they have enough on the road against a powerful opponent in the Stars? Here is our Devils vs. Stars prediction to get you set.
New Jersey just made a major splash in trading for arguably the best goaltender in the NHL, which can only spark a team. This group knows that management has faith in this group, and is looking to reward them in their efforts to greatness. Whether he starts or not, New Jersey will be flying. They are on the road and playing a tough opponent in Dallas, but this is their first long road trip of the season, and have been in their barn since October 17th. I don’t expect fatigue to play a factor. They will need to utilize their high-flying offense, which has so far outmatched Dallas in goals per game, power play and shots per game. I do not doubt their ability to even beat the NHL’s second-best penalty kill from the Stars (92.3%). The Devils come into this one hot on a three-game winning streak, and I see them getting their fourth here. Take New Jersey for our Devils vs. Stars prediction.
