After being in Toronto on Monday night to play Auston Matthews and the Toronto Maple Leafs, Macklin Celebrini’s San Jose Sharks stay up north to take on Cole Caufield and the Montreal Canadiens. It’s a battle of two young stars on the ice, so why not enjoy some Sharks vs Canadiens predictions to go along with it?
There’s no doubt that Montreal is considered the more complete, deeper team, so it’s no surprise to see them as significant favorites on home ice. Rather than worrying about that invaluable price, trusting an upset or worrying about a puck line cover, we’re going to take the approach that most fans don’t like rooting for. That is likely to be the case here given that the Habs have had some higher-scoring games as of late. Even with that being the case, we don’t expect that trend to continue given how they play; they had their incredible postseason run last year thanks to blocking shots and slowing opponents down. Of course, they’re just one side of Sharks vs Canadiens predictions.
Unders with Celebrini on the ice are never fun, but they just don’t have the pieces around him for us to expect consistent goal scoring on a nightly basis. This one will likely be a sweat, but we’re taking the under in Montreal.
