It is only the fourth game of the season for the Toronto Maple Leafs, but their fans are already getting a sour taste in their mouths. It isn't too surprising that the pressure is already ramping up, and while a game that would drop a team to 1-3 on the season isn't a “must-win”, the team might not want to see what happens if they lose to the Nashville Predators on Tuesday. The Maple Leafs have looked better than last season's team at times, but some warts remain. The Predators are 1-1 this season, but are relying on stingy defense, as they've scored just three goals in their first two games. With Toronto's defense looking a bit improved this season, it could come down to which offense breaks through, and it's hard not to bet on the Maple Leafs to overcome the Predators there.
Toronto's next four games are a gauntlet, featuring dates with Vegas, Colorado, Utah, and Buffalo. They'll want to head on that road trip with a .500 record, and they'll find a way to do it against Nashville.
