The Battle of Ontario renews for yet another season, as the Toronto Maple Leafs host the Ottawa Senators. This battle looks a lot different now without Brady Tkachuk leading the Senators into battle, but make no mistake this will be war. Here is our expert Senators vs. Maple Leafs prediction.
Toronto remains on home ice for their third time of three games this season. Home ice comfort is in abundance, they’ve yet to hit the road, and they could be building some momentum after a 2-1 regulation win for their first win of the season. We know this team just went through a major overhaul, and while it came with many upgrades, on-ice chemistry isn’t automatic. Although, with each passing game, chemistry and familiarity rises, and that is what I see with the Maple Leafs. The Senators are icing their own new team for the first time this season, so we may be in for some of that unfamiliarity and inconsistency. Ottawa comes into this season extremely motivated with their former captain bailing on them, and the team missing the playoffs last season. As usual they will be gritty and a tough opponent on most nights, but give me Toronto to win as they’ve got much more action under their belt this season. Take Toronto on the money line for our Senators vs. Maple Leafs prediction.
