The Mammoth are in Toronto to take on the Maple Leafs on Tuesday night. Both of these teams know how to light the lamp, and neither squad has been great defensively or in net. Thus, we could have a high-scoring affair on our hands. Offensively, Toronto ranks 4th in the NHL by scoring 3.75 goals per game, while Utah isn't far behind ranking 7th with 3.60 goals per contest. Both forward groups have plenty of talent to go around, and both teams are converting on the power play at over a 30% clip. No matter how you slice it, these teams know how to score.
Both offenses seem to be in solid spots going up against the goaltenders for each team. Toronto's Sergei Bobrovsky has allowed 3+ goals in nine of his 10 starts this season, and the defensive group in front of him hasn't done him any favors. Utah's Karel Vejmelka is experiencing some regression after a sensational 2025-26 campaign, as he owns a 3.31 goals-against average to go along with a save percentage of .872 in 11 outings so far this season. Given the defensive and goaltending woes on each side, as well as the offensive firepower up and down these rosters, look for the goals to come early and often in this matchup.
