Los Angeles Kings vs Washington Capitals Prediction, Odds and NHL Picks for Today

The Washington Capitals have emerged as a potential Stanley Cup contender early on this season with all of their off-season acquisitions. Their forward group is very deep and they have a solid backend with an elite goaltender. They are going to be difficult to beat on the day-to-day. They are going up against a Los Angeles Kings team that is still seeking its first win of the year. Through six games, the Kings have the second-worst offense in the league, averaging only 2.00 goals per game. The Capitals are 8th in the NHL, averaging 3.5 goals per game. It also doesn’t help that the Kings are brutal defensively, averaging 4.17 goals against per game. The Kings have been relying on Quinton Byfield to take the next step, but he has not been able to take his game to the next level.

The Kings are completely outmatched in this game, and the depth of the Capitals' forward group should be able to take over. The Capitals are 4-1-0 on home ice; look for them to keep this dominance going. Give me the Capitals in this one.
