When these two are playing their best, there aren’t many teams in the NHL that can keep pace with them. The Bruins certainly aren’t one of them. Their powerplay unit is currently sitting number one in the league, operating at 32.6%. Look for their powerplay to play a role in this game as the Bruins are the most penalized team in the NHL this season.

Aside from Morgan Geekie and David Pastrnak, the Bruins do not really have any offensive threats. If the Oilers can keep these two off the score sheet, they should be successful in this game. Give me the Oilers in this one.

In recent form, the Wild pride themselves on their defense. They have given up 7 total goals in the last 5 games, including a 5-0 shutout over the Washington Capitals in their last game. While this will be their first away game following a 4-game home stand, their form does not change much away from Minnesota. The Wild have managed to win 6 of their last 8 away games while holding teams to 2 or fewer goals in 5 of those games. The Wild defense may prove to be an issue for the Blue Jackets, regardless of which goalie starts this one.

For the Blue Jackets, this year has been rather disappointing. They currently sit at 15^th in the Eastern conference with 34 points through 33 games. Over the last 5 games, the Blue Jackets have only scored 10 goals with a total of 2 points. With an offense that is struggling, the Blue Jacket’s 72.8% penalty kill do not help. This penalty defense is part of the reason that they have given up 25 goals over the last 6 games. Overall, it is hard for me to find a path for the Blue Jackets to win this one. The Wild have the superior form, defense, and goaltending. I am taking the Wild to win this one.

The Stars also have the 2nd-best power play in the NHL, operating at 31.4%. The Stars are a very solid and deep team, and not many teams have the depth to match them. They have 2 players who have eclipsed the 40-point mark, and 1 who is sitting with 39.

The Sharks are led by phenom Macklin Celebrini. He is 3rd in league scoring with 51 points. He has 22 more points than the next player on his team. This is where the Sharks are out-matched by the Stars. Aside from Celebrini, they do not have the scoring to keep up with them. I will be on the Stars in this one.
