The Flames average 2.42 goals per game. This simply won’t be good enough to keep up with the Hurricanes. The Hurricanes have a very deep forward group that plays with pace and forechecks very hard. All four lines can contribute offensively. Their powerplay needs some work, but it should see some opportunities as the Flames are the second-most penalized team in the league.

There are not many bright spots on this Flames roster outside of young netminder Dustin Wolf. Even he has not been great this season, as he has a 6-12-2 record with a 3.17 GAA and .890 SVP. This team is heading for a rebuild. I expect the Hurricanes to dominate this game from start to finish. They are very good on home ice, look for them to jump all over the Flames early. Give me the Hurricanes on the puck line in this one.
