Carolina Hurricanes vs Nashville Predators Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 12/17/25

The Carolina Hurricanes head to the Music City to tangle with the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena. The Preds look for revenge after being doubled up 6-3 in Raleigh at Lenovo Center on Dec. 6. Carolina cashed as a heavy favorite (-230) as the Over (6) cashed, with the Canes getting off to a quick start with two first-period power-play goals. However, there is concern backing the Canes, as the Preds are actually 5-2 in the past seven meetings dating back to Jan. 5, 2023, although, of course, the most important result was the most recent this season.

The Predators have been a little better lately, winning three of the past four games, although two of those wins are against the erratic St. Louis Blues. Juuse Saros and Justus Annunen have been a tad bit uneven lately, allowing a total of 17 goals in the past five games, or 3.4 goals per game. That including six goals allowed, all by Saros, in the first meeting before getting pulled early in the third period. Look for the Hurricanes to get the offense ratcheted up again, as we only need to get to seven total goals for an Over.
