Penguins vs Oilers Pickswise Expert Predictions

Money Line Pick
EDM Oilers Win(-200)

The Edmonton Oilers will be hosting Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday night. This will be the second game in consecutive nights for the Penguins as they are in Calgary on Wednesday. This will be another game for Tristan Jarry against his former team. He was victorious in the first meeting by a score of 6-4. The Oilers are a much better home team than road team, their record is 12-7-4 at Rogers Place. This is a fairly even matchup when it comes to the team stats, and the Oilers will be without one half of the two-headed monster. Leon Draisaitl remains out of the lineup for personal reasons. This will be a battle between two of the best players to play the game, Connor McDavid and Sidney Crosby. McDavid has cooled off, to his standards, recently after his 20-game point streak. However, I do expect him to put on a show in front of Canadian hockey royalty.

With Draisaitl out of the lineup, McDavid will need to elevate his game and take on more of the offensive responsibility. He is more than capable of doing this. Give me the Oilers in what should be an exciting close game.

Penguins vs. Oilers prediction: Oilers ML (-200) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
