Sharks vs Islanders Pickswise Expert Predictions

San Jose Sharks
Money Line 3-Way Pick
NY Islanders Win(-140)

The New York Islanders host the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday night in the NHL. These teams hit the ice as part of a 10-game NHL slate and is the first of two meetings this season. Each team is in the early stages of a rebuild, and feature a recent first overall draft pick in Macklin Celebrini for the Sharks (2024), and Matthew Schaefer for the Islanders (2025). Here are our expert Sharks vs. Islanders predictions.

The San Jose Sharks have yet to earn their first win of the season, and I think they will need to wait even longer. With a young and depth-diminished team, the Islanders have been proving early on that you can’t take them lightly. They have won two-straight games, coming against Connor McDavid’s Edmonton Oilers and a high-flying Ottawa Senators. So far they have been getting an excellent mix of contributions throughout their entire lineup, and should be able to outmatch these Sharks. If they can perform this well against strong NHL teams, I see them being able to do it against the weaker ones, especially on home ice. For our Sharks vs. Islanders prediction, take the Islanders to win in regulation.

Sharks vs Islanders prediction: Islanders 3-way ML (-140) available at time of publishing. Playable to -150.
